  • In Haiti Sheba Brings Hope to those with none

    On December 2009, Haiti was devastated by an earthquake that pummeled an already fragile nation. Millions of lives were uprooted; hundreds of thousands died and hundreds of thousands were injured. Haiti was a scene right out of a grade B Hollywood disaster movie, only this disaster was real! Less than 48 hours after the earthquake, an Israeli Military field hospital, led by Col Itzk Kriess, from Sheba Medical Center, had already left Israel and was established in Haiti to care for the injured.

  • So the World May Hear - a Mission for Peace through Hearing

    American Friends of Sheba brought together Sheba Medical Center and the Starkey Hearing Foundation to give the gift of hearing to more than 1,000 villagers in Tul-Karm. From the very young to the elderly this gift was given with care and sensitivity.

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Institute - Designed by Daniel Libeskind

    Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer Israel is commitment to build and support the first facility in the world focused entirely on transitioning soldiers and civilians with Post Traumatic Stress disorder into productive lives. This project is the first of its kind in the world. We have named the project The Hopeful Dawn House.

  • Mission of learning and cooperation to China

    China has the world's greatest demand for modern medicine. In spite of the county's spectacular economic advances, China remains a poor nation on a per capita basis with little or no affordable access to modern medicine. The Executive Director of American Friends of Sheba, who has worked and lived in China for the past twelve years, initiated a fact finding mission to China with Professor Zeev Rotstein, CEO of Sheba.

  • The "Child Life Zone" at the Sheba Medical Center

    The Teammates for Kids Foundation, headed by American country music star Garth Brooks, in partnership with the foundation of Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman, has announced its intention to support construction and operation of a "Child Life Zone" at Sheba.
